About Stephen J. Densmore

For over 37 years, Mr. Densmore has devoted his law practice to the construction industry. For much of his career, his practice concentrated on trials, arbitrations, and transactional matters. For the past 18 years, his practice has involved exclusively drafting bidding documents, contracts, and other procurement documentation for design, construction, design-build, and program management for private developers and local governments including some of the nation’s largest developers and the nation’s largest community college bond program. A passionate advocate of construction education, he is a past President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute, former adjunct professor of construction law at California State University, Long Beach, and has conducted over 100 lectures on construction-related topics. In addition, Mr. Densmore provided transactional advice and document preparation to the State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services in connection with the FEMA-funded recovery after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake.
